The Messy Middle

The Messy Middle

Hi lovely,

I've been sitting in what I can only describe as a sacred pause.

A space where I can feel certain chapters closing… but the next one hasn't fully revealed itself yet.

And if I'm being honest, this in-between space can feel a little disorienting.

This is what I call the messy middle.

It's that moment where you know something is shifting. You can feel it in your body, in your energy, in the way your old patterns don't quite fit anymore.

But the clarity you want? It's not fully here yet.

And that can bring up a lot.

It can look like laying in bed in the morning, staring at the ceiling, not wanting to get up because you're not fully sure what you're getting up for.

It can look like finally getting up, moving through your routine, and then feeling that subtle wave of anxious energy start to creep in.

That quiet fear that whispers "What if I don't figure this out?" "What if I'm stuck here?"

And then we make it mean something about us.

That we're off track. That we're doing something wrong.

But here's the reframe I keep coming back to right now.

Fear often shows up when we are doing something new… or even thinking in a new way.

And if you zoom out for just a second, everything you say you want…

Clarity Expansion Alignment A life that feels more like you

All of it requires stepping into the unknown.

So of course, your nervous system is going to have something to say about that.

You are not broken.

You are in the middle of becoming.

The work right now isn't to force clarity.

It's to create safety inside the uncertainty.

To gently remind your body that you are safe, even when you don't have all the answers yet.

Some simple ways to do that:

Give yourself a hug. Yes, literally wrap your arms around your body and hold yourself for a few breaths.

Slow your breath down. Inhale through your nose, exhale through your mouth, longer than the inhale.

Get outside. Let your body feel the ground beneath your feet, the air on your skin.

Move the energy. Shake your arms, dance in your kitchen, let it move through instead of getting stuck.

Hum. It might feel silly, but it calms your nervous system more than you think.

These aren't big, complicated things.

They're small moments of coming back to yourself.

Because this season isn't about having it all figured out.

It's about learning how to stay with yourself while it's unfolding.

If you're in a sacred pause right now, I just want you to know…

You're not behind. You're not lost. You're not doing it wrong.

You're in the messy middle.

And something new is already on its way to meet you.

XOXO, Kara
