I was in a drive-through last night picking up dinner for the family, and the girl at the window said, "Would you like to use the gift card on your account?" I said sure, and she smiled and goes, "It's basically free now. GirlMath."

And I paused. I said, "Did you mean boy math?" She gave me the most puzzled look.

She hadn't really thought about it. And honestly, most of us haven't.

Why do we do that? Why do we take something that's meant to be a joke or a lighthearted moment and quietly embed the message that girls aren't good at math? My daughter is elite at math. She is sharp and diligent and capable, and I would never use that phrase around her with any meaning other than: you are smart and you are powerful and you are enough.

I think back to that old Dove commercial where they asked people to "run like a girl." The older the person, the more exaggerated and silly the running became. But the little girls? They ran with everything they had. Arms pumping. Legs flying. Fierce. And the whole point was: that IS what it means to run like a girl.

The young woman at that drive-through window was maybe sixteen. Sixteen, and already carrying a belief that had been handed to her somewhere along the way without her even realizing it.

This is what I think about so much, especially for women in leadership and women in business. The messages start so early. How we're supposed to show up. How we're supposed to lead. The balance between being helpful and courteous and strong and a "girl boss" and everything in between. It is a lot to carry.

And my mission, at the core of everything I do, is to help people put that weight down.

When you stop masking, hiding, or performing for external validation and you start living as your most authentic self, something shifts. Your energy changes. The way you move through the world changes. People start saying things like, "You seem so grounded. So confident. So sure of yourself. How do you do that?"

The answer is always the same: authenticity. When you are truly vibrating at that frequency, people feel it before you ever say a word. That is not a cliche. That is the real thing.

So today, as you move through your world, I just want to ask: where are you performing, and where are you actually free?

That's where the magic is.
